The Zappi functions like a standard EV charging point but includes intelligent eco charging modes designed specifically for homeowners with grid-tied solar or wind generation systems.

In ECO+ mode, Zappi automatically adjusts the charging rate to use only surplus renewable energy that would otherwise be exported to the grid—allowing you to charge your car for free using your self-generated power.

The ECO mode works similarly but gives you the flexibility to set a minimum charge level by a chosen time. This ensures your vehicle has enough energy when needed while still minimising imported grid power.

When using FAST mode, Zappi operates as a conventional EV charger, delivering full-speed charging regardless of energy source.

Built to the Mode 3 charging standard, Zappi is compatible with all electric vehicles that meet SAE J1772, EN62196, and EN61851 plug-in EV specifications.
